Ministry to Singles

Ministry to Singles LogoWith more than 90 million adults in America now living single, there has never been a more important time to reach this increasingly diverse segment of our population.

At Park Hill, our desire is to provide an array of opportunities for single adults of all ages to connect in worship, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry. Our current connection points include:

  • The Rock House: Named for its location in the rock-front house at the corner of D Avenue and Pine Street, this co-ed group of singles is comprised of young college and early career adults who are serious about personal spiritual growth and community ministry. Through the years, this connection point has effectively produced key leaders in the life of our church. The Rock House group is actively involved in hands-on ministry through the local Salvation Army, Arkansas Baptist Children's Homes, Conversation Clubs (with international students at UALR), and other mission activities. Additionally, this group participates each year in the National Cardboard Boat Races at Greers Ferry Lake. Members of this group enjoy frequent fellowship together through outdoor and adventure-based activities, like hiking, camping, and canoing. For more information about this group, please contact Brent or April Walker at 501-772-6033. Additional information is available here.
  •

  • Twenty-Somethings: This co-ed group is also comprised of college students and early career adults. They meet on the second floor of the Heard Building, with most of our other young adult classes. Members enjoy weekly Bible study and fellowship together. For more information about this group, please contact Mike and Kathy Davis at 501-758-3407.

  • Singles Ministry Department: For many years Park Hill has had an organized Singles Ministry that seeks to provide single adults a place to belong. This ministry meets on the second floor of the Adult Education Building and consists of three co-ed departments. The Singles 1 group is comprised of singles over the age of 65. The Singles 2 group is comprised of median adult singles, primarily ages 50-65. And the Singles 3 group is comprised of middle adult singles, ages 35-49. The departments and their individual classes are actively involved in Bible study, discipleship, leadership training, missions, and community outreach. These departments are served by a council that meets regularly to facilitate fellowship, discipleship, and ministry. Additional information is available here.

A number of our singles choose to participate in gender-specific classes that include both single and married adults.
Our younger classes have opportunity to mix and mingle with each other during the opening time at 9:30 a.m. On Sundays.
