Greg and Heather Gamble
Disaster Relief/Medical Projects Coordinator
Tajikistan, a former Soviet Union Country
Greg and Heather Gamble live and work in Tajikistan, the poorest of the former Soviet countries. They have lived overseas for 12 years. Greg heads up an office there that does disaster relief and medical projects.
Heather is originally from Scotland, but lived in Kenya for 9 years as a child. After that she moved to Texas to go to college and it is there that she and Greg met. Greg’s father was in the Air Force and so Greg lived in many places as a child including Okinawa and Germany. Both Heather and Greg felt called to missions when they were in high school.
Greg’s father is now retired and lives here in Little Rock. He and his wife, Gary and Sandra Gamble, are members of Park Hill Baptist Church. Greg and Heather have stayed in the missionary home here at PHBC once before in 2005, and they are delighted to be able to stay here again.
The Gambles have 4 children – 2 girls and 2 boys. Kirsten is 17 and has just graduated from high school. Jessica is 15 and has finished the 10th grade. Both Kirsten and Jessica have been attending a boarding school in Malaysia for high school. Kirsten has decided to take a gap year before attending college and will go back to Tajikistan with her family to work and do language study. Jessica will be heading back to boarding school in August. The boys are 9 year old Andrew and 3 year old Jamie. Andrew is homeschooled, but would rather spend his time playing on his skateboard. Jamie loves to play outside, too, and keeps his parents busy.
